Awe and Elandi are such great people to be around with and the love Elandi has for Awe is contagious! They are so much in love that I didn't need to create moments to photograph, they just rocked the shoot!
I can't wait for their wedding at the Zebra Country Lodge in Pretoria later this year, and they asked that we do the engagement session there as well. We chose to do a cold early morning safari, but we ended up to be super early...even before the sun was up. The advantage was that the light was OUT OF THIS WORLD!

When Jorge and Kerry-Ann said they wanted to do their shoot at Modderfontein Nature Reserve, I got really exited. I have heard many great stories about this place, and it definitely did NOT disappoint!
Jorge and Kerry are so much in love, and I just loved doing this shoot with them! They are naturals in front of the camera, and I cannot wait for their wedding in March next year!
I just love autumn/winter weather, because the light was incredible. It was a bit chilly, but there are ways to work around it.

Awe and Elandi's wedding will be hosted at the Zebra Country Lodge in Pretoria, and they asked that we do the engagement session there as well. So we decided to have an early morning safari...we ended up to be super early...even before the sun was up. This allowed me to do a night shot in the morning...!
And the light was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Wow. I am definitely doing this again!

I just loved my time with Irene & David. We had this huge plan of doing the shoot in between pine trees, which are almost like a little forest just outside their estate. But we soon realised that it was located inside someone's yard and we had no access to it...oops. So I had to put my thinking cap on ones again, and I had to improvise! I love these moments which allows me to show one of my clients that I can think on my feet, which is so very important when strange things happen on your big day!
We still used the area in front of their estate, but I ended up shooting with the trees in the background! The results are epic, and Irene & David looked amazing on their engagement shoot! And Irene couldnt stop laughing. They are such easy going and fun people!
Irene also asked me to incorporate their two dogs in the pics and they added a cool element to shoot way at the end of the day!
I also played around in #Photoshop to create the double exposure shots, and they are definitively my favourite shots of the day! #shotoftheday
Can't wait for their wedding next year in the bushveld!

Stepen & Gena's urban e-session in the inner city of Johannesburg!
Wow. This was a super fun shoot. We got to go to the inner city of Johannesburg to do an urban shoot, and Stephen & Gena just rocked! They looked absolutely exquisite, and I just love the way that they contrasted with the surroundings...amazing!
I had a bit of a laugh with Stephen because he was very stiff and on his nerves, and I had to train him in front of the camera. The greatest moment for me was when we were almost at the end of the shoot Gena said: "Wow, I have never seen Stephen smile this much". Thanks for the compliment.
I so wish I was going to take their wedding pictures, which I am not. They already have a photographer booked, but I can just imagine how wonderful their weddings pics are going to be!
We had an interesting moment though during the shoot. My camera was almost nabbed. There was a guy who came up to me and asked that I take a picture of him, but while his buddy was behind me looking for an opportunity to nab my camera (I didn't know this, Gena told me afterwards). Gena went into a praying frenzy and her faith got us out of that situation. The 2 guys left us but our nerves only really settled once we left the area after the shoot.

What I recently realized was the fact that Karen Kelly (Lovilee) and I attend the same church. So I met up with her, had a great coffee at The Whippet in Linden (Oh I love this place) and we just talked on how we can start a journey together as creatives. So what happened is that she asked me to do a mini styled shoot of her patio in exchange for a listing space on her blog, and the rest was history! Amazing. I just love it when we as creatives can work together and assist each other.

Love and calmness just oozes out of Hermien and Eben, they have the most beautiful children Emma and Leah. Emma is the eldest, and isn't she a cutie. Leah is the baby and her eyes just melts anyone who looks at her! I had so much fun doing this shoot!
I met up with them at Delta Park, which is one of my favorite photo destinations. This time I was surprised to see how long the grass has grown, and at first I thought it was going to make my life hard to take pictures, but actually it created for such beautiful pictures!

Charlotte and Darren's small but very intimate wedding was held at Shelanti Tea Garden in Centurion! I just love this venue and the Chapel is just amazing. Charlotte's make-up was done by the Glam Squad, and they did such an amazing job! Her dress was from Vanilla in Centurion Mall.
The day was full of special moments, and it was a privilege to be a part of this wedding!
One special moment was Darren's wedding gift to Charlotte. He gave her a Mercedes GLA, and he just melted her heart even more with this incredible gift!
